This Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, and disclosed by PuzzleStride ("we," "us," or "our") when you use the PuzzleStride iOS app (the "App") and the puzzlestride.com marketing website (the "Website"), collectively the "Services." PuzzleStride is designed to be private by default: your gameplay data never leaves your device.

1. Data we collect and how we use it

In the PuzzleStride App: we do not collect, transmit, or store any personal information on our servers. Your step history, unlocked puzzle pieces, completed puzzles, themed packs, sound and haptics settings, and all other progress live entirely on your device.

On the Website: the only information we collect through puzzlestride.com is what you voluntarily submit through our support contact form — your name, email address, chosen category, and message. This is used solely to respond to your inquiry.

2. Apple Health (HealthKit)

With your permission, PuzzleStride reads your step count from Apple Health so it can convert real-world walking into puzzle pieces. This data is read on-device only. We never transmit your Health data off your phone, never share it with third parties, and never use it for advertising or analytics. You can revoke access at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → PuzzleStride.

3. Data storage and retention

Local app storage: all App data lives in your device's local storage and is backed up only if you have enabled iCloud device backups. You can delete this data at any time by clearing your progress in the App or by uninstalling the App.

Support form submissions: messages submitted through the Website's support form are stored securely by our backend provider so that we can respond to you. We retain them only as long as needed to resolve your inquiry, and delete them on request.

4. Third-party services

We use a small number of trusted providers strictly to make the Services work:

Apple: the App is distributed via the App Store and Pro purchases are processed entirely by Apple. HealthKit provides step data on-device. Apple's handling of your data is governed by Apple's own privacy policy.

Lovable Cloud: the Website's support contact form is stored and delivered via Lovable Cloud infrastructure. These providers are bound by data processing agreements and do not use your data for their own purposes.

We do not use third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs in the App.

5. Subscriptions and Pro purchases

PuzzleStride Pro purchases and subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple. We only receive an anonymous entitlement status necessary to unlock Pro features. We never see or store your payment details. All transactions are governed by Apple's privacy policy and the Apple Media Services Terms.

6. Data sharing and disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or trade any user data. We will only disclose information if required to do so by law or in the good-faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with legal obligations or protect our rights.

7. Children's privacy

Our Services are not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete it immediately.

8. Your rights

Because PuzzleStride App data is stored locally on your device, you can view, reset, or delete your data at any time from within the App or iOS Settings. You may also revoke Health access at any time. For any support-form submission you'd like removed, contact us and we'll delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this policy.
